Dubai, 16 September 2026: The DP World International League T20 has launched “Voice of Tomorrow – The Junior Commentary Challenge,” a nationwide initiative to discover and nurture the UAE’s next generation of cricket commentary talent.

Open to UAE residents aged 8–16 from schools and academies across the country, the challenge gives young cricket enthusiasts the opportunity to experience professional commentary in a real match environment.

To enter, participants must submit a vertical video of under three minutes, commentating on one over from any previous DP World ILT20 match. Registrations are open at jrcommentator.ilt20.ae until 1 October 2026.

Around 100 participants will be shortlisted for live auditions, from which the Top 30 – 15 pairs – will be selected to commentate one over during DP World ILT20 group-stage matches.

The official DP World ILT20 commentary panel, featuring renowned international voices, will then select the Top 10, who will receive exclusive goodie bags. From these, the Top 6 – three pairs – will earn the opportunity to commentate during the playoffs alongside the tournament’s official commentators and will also be invited to attend the DP World ILT20 Final.

Through Voice of Tomorrow, the DP World ILT20 aims to highlight that careers in cricket extend far beyond the playing field. By opening a professional broadcast platform to young people, the league hopes to inspire future commentators, presenters, analysts and storytellers while developing home-grown broadcast talent from the UAE.

Unlike a simulated commentary competition, Voice of Tomorrow places young participants in a real match environment, in front of a live crowd and alongside professional commentators, providing an experience rarely available to aspiring broadcasters at this age.

The initiative is open to children from all schools and academies across the UAE, irrespective of whether they currently play cricket.
