Dubai, December 31 2025: The DP World ILT20 ‘Power 9 Golf Day’ saw cricketers, commentators, match officials, partners and other key stakeholders take to the course for a relaxed afternoon alongside professional golfer Richard Mansell at the award-winning Els Club in Dubai, offering a welcome opportunity to unwind during the DP World ILT20 Season 4.

Over the past editions, the DP World ILT20 Golf Day has become an annual tradition during the tournament window in the UAE, providing an opportunity for players, officials, sponsors, partners and broadcasters to enjoy the picturesque course and connect in a relaxed setting amid the month-long cricket festivities.

The DP World ILT20 ‘Power 9 Golf Day’ featured DP World ILT20 cricketers Sam Curran, David Payne, Andries Gous and Dinesh Karthik, joining fellow participants for an afternoon of golf and camaraderie.

Also on the greens were commentators and presenters Wasim Akram, Ian Bishop, Simon Doull, Nikhil Chopra, Urooj Mumtaz Khan, Owais Shah and Laura McGoldrick, with match officials Rod Tucker and Martin Saggers also in attendance, alongside Ishan Chopra, Head of Partnerships, DP World ILT20.

Desert Vipers, all-rounder Sam Curran said: “It’s been a fantastic day out here at The Els Club. It’s always nice to step away from the intensity of the tournament, especially with big games coming up. We’ve had a really good season with the Desert Vipers, and today was all about relaxing, taking our minds off the game and enjoying a round of golf. The DP World ILT20 has been a fantastic tournament to be part of, and we’re hoping we can go one better this year and win the Final.”

Simon Doull, former New Zealand cricketer and DP World ILT20 commentator, said: “It’s a great day to relax and catch up with players, sponsors and everyone involved in the tournament. We usually see the players out on the cricket field, but on the golf course they’re a lot more relaxed, which makes it even more enjoyable. It’s also a nice chance to spend time with the DP World team and other partners, because without their support the tournament simply wouldn’t happen. The commentators love it, the players love it, and it’s a welcome break during what is a long and intense tournament.”

Ishan Chopra, Head of Partnerships, DP World ILT20, said: “We are proud to have DP World as our Title Partner and to jointly host the DP World ILT20 ‘Power 9 Golf Day’ each year. DP World brings with it a very strong sports portfolio, and the mix of golf and cricket adds a unique dimension altogether. It has grown into an annual tradition where players, commentators, match officials, and partners come together in a relaxed setting, and it’s something everybody involved genuinely loves.”
