Dubai, 24 September 2026: The stage is set for the fourth edition of the DP World ILT20 Development Tournament final, with Gulf Giants Development and Desert Vipers Development earning their places in the title clash after winning their respective semi-finals at the ICC Academy in Dubai. The final will take place at the ICC Academy, Dubai at 7pm today.

The ultimate match will also bring together some of the tournament’s leading individual performers. Desert Vipers Development’s Wali Muhammad Afridi leads the wicket-taking charts with 14 wickets from six innings, while Hilal Noor Afghan and Sanjay Pahal have also made significant contributions with eight wickets apiece. Gulf Giants Development, meanwhile, boast two of the tournament’s top three run-scorers, with Sagar Kalyan amassing 241 runs, including three half-centuries, at a strike rate of 191, while Anshh Taandon has scored 235 runs at a strike rate of 179, with two half-centuries to his name.

On Wednesday evening, Desert Vipers Development overcame Sharjah Warriorz Development by 25 runs.

Electing to bat first, the Vipers put up 171/9, Vriitya Arvind’s (30 off 32) measured innings was followed by rapid fire knocks from Harshit Kaushik (49 off 26) and Zeeshan Abid (41 off 21) that proved to be difference. The pair put on a 75-run stand in just 36 deliveries.

Junaid Siddique (3/32) and Hafiz Almas Ayub (2/33) starred with the ball for the Warriorz.

In reply, the Warriorz started on a promising note with contributions across the top order. However, Ronak Panoly (27 off 23), Harpreet Bhatia (33 off 23) and Basil Hameed (31 off 20) could not convert their starts. Sanjay Pahal (4/26) and Nilansh Keswani (2/10) led the Vipers attack as the Warriorz lost seven wickets for just 37 runs and finished well short of the target at 146/9.

Gulf Giants Development booked their place in the final with a six-wicket victory over Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Development earlier in the day

Batting first, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders Development posted 171/8. Openers Masood Gurbaz (31 off 16) and Uzair Haider Maan (32 off 26) set the tone at the top of the innings before Muhammad Aftab Alam’s (73 off 38) half-century. Aftab carved six fours and four sixes until he was dismissed in the final over.

For the Giants, Haider Razzaq’s (3/13) economical three wicket haul was complemented by Awais Ahmed (2/35) and Nabeel Aziz (2/33).

The Giants cruised through the run chase in 16.1 overs in an innings that saw 13 maximums. An opening stand of 89 runs between Tanish Suri (39 off 22) and Anssh Taandon (72 off 45) put the Giants in control. Taandon’s half-century was studded with three fours and six sixes while Sagar Kalyan also raced to 29 runs in just nine balls to steer the Giants home.
