Biography

Max Holden has steadily built a reputation as one of the most accomplished batters on the English county circuit. A stylish left-handed top-order batter, he joined Middlesex's academy at the age of 11 and captained England at the Under-19 level before making his first-class debut in 2017. Since then, he has grown into a mainstay for Middlesex, becoming one of the few players in the club's history to score centuries across first-class, List A and T20 cricket.

Holden's journey in franchise cricket has been more mixed. He represented both Manchester Originals and Trent Rockets in The Hundred but struggled to consistently translate his county success to the competition. Greater success came in the ILT20, where he played an important role in the Desert Vipers' title-winning campaign. His performances eventually earned him a move to Manchester Super Giants, offering another opportunity to make his mark in The Hundred.
